Bladeless LASIK surgery involves the use of two lasers: the first to create a flap and a second to shape the cornea to provide clear vision. Previously, patients undergoing LASIK had to stand up and walk between two lasers. Now, the patient remains in a reclining position and the bed is gently swiveled between each laser.
